P2.5 Indoor SMD Screen in Pakistan
The popular all-rounder for malls, shops and lobbies – sharp from 2.5 m, bright in any interior.
What is a P2.5 indoor SMD screen?
A P2.5 indoor SMD screen is an LED video wall whose pixels sit 2.5 mm apart. Each pixel is a tiny SMD package with a red, green and blue LED, and thousands of them together form one seamless picture – with no bezels or joins like a TV wall.
P2.5 is the most popular indoor pitch in Pakistan because it hits the sweet spot between sharpness and price. It looks crisp to shoppers and visitors standing a few metres away, yet costs far less than fine-pitch screens such as P1.86 or P2.0 that are made for very close viewing.

How far away should viewers be?
A simple rule: the closest comfortable viewing distance in metres is about the same as the pixel pitch in millimetres. For P2.5 that is about 2.5 m (8 ft). From there on, text, faces and product shots look smooth and sharp. The DIGIX P2.5 module is rated for an optimal viewing range of 2 to 20 metres, which covers most shops, lobbies and mall corridors.
- Closer than 2 m (counters, meeting tables): choose P2.0 or a fine-pitch COB screen.
- 2.5 m to 15 m (shops, lobbies, malls): P2.5 is the right choice.
- Further than 15 m (large halls, high-mounted screens): P3 or P4 gives a similar look for less.
Resolution: how many pixels do you get?
A P2.5 screen has 160,000 pixels in every square metre. Each 320 × 160 mm module carries 128 × 64 pixels, so the resolution grows with the size of the wall. For example, a screen of about 10 × 6 ft (9 × 11 modules, 2.88 × 1.76 m) gives 1152 × 704 pixels, and a wall of about 15.7 × 8.9 ft gives full HD at 1920 × 1088. The table below shows the most common sizes, and the SMD screen calculator works out the exact size and resolution for your wall.
Bright enough for any interior
The DIGIX P2.5 module delivers 1,200 nits or more. That is comfortably above mall lighting, glass-roofed atriums and bright showrooms, and the brightness can be turned down for darker spaces like restaurants or meeting rooms. Indoor screens are not designed for direct sunlight – for shop windows facing the street or outdoor use, ask us about high-brightness or outdoor screens.
Where P2.5 works best
Shopping malls, retail stores, corporate receptions, banks, car showrooms, restaurants and indoor events. It is the go-to pitch for brand walls in malls and for screens that people see while walking past, from a few metres away.
What affects the price of a P2.5 screen?
LED screens in Pakistan are priced per square foot. The final cost of a P2.5 screen depends on:
- Size – the number of modules or cabinets.
- Build – module-based on a steel frame, or ready-made cabinets for faster installation and service.
- Grade of LEDs and refresh rate – higher grades give smoother video and better camera recording.
- Control system – a simple media player, or a video processor for live feeds.
- Structure, finishing and installation – wall, floor stand or ceiling, and the city.

P2.5 screen – frequently asked questions
What is the best viewing distance for a P2.5 screen?
About 2.5 metres (8 ft) and beyond. The DIGIX P2.5 module is rated for an optimal viewing range of 2 to 20 metres, which suits most shops, lobbies and mall corridors. For viewers closer than 2 m, choose P2.0 or a fine-pitch COB screen.
Is a P2.5 screen good for a shop or a mall?
Yes. P2.5 is the most popular indoor pitch for retail in Pakistan because it looks sharp to people walking past and costs much less than fine-pitch screens. It is bright enough for mall atriums but is not made for direct sunlight.
P2.5 vs P2 vs P3 – which should I choose?
Choose P2 when people stand closer than 2 m, P2.5 for normal shop and lobby distances of about 2.5 to 15 m, and P3 for large halls or screens mounted high up. A smaller pitch is sharper but costs more per square foot.
What resolution does a P2.5 screen have?
160,000 pixels per square metre. Each 320 × 160 mm module has 128 × 64 pixels, so a 10 × 6 ft screen gives about 1152 × 704 pixels and a 15.7 × 8.9 ft screen gives full HD (1920 × 1088).
How bright is a P2.5 indoor screen?
The DIGIX P2.5 module delivers 1,200 nits or more – well above normal indoor lighting – and can be dimmed for darker spaces. For street-facing shop windows or outdoor use, ask about high-brightness or outdoor screens.
Can I change the content from my phone or laptop?
Yes. The screen can play from USB, Wi-Fi or 4G through a media player, run live from a PC, and be scheduled remotely through the DIGIX CMS – one screen or many branches at once.
How long does a P2.5 LED screen last?
The LEDs are rated for about 100,000 hours. Real life depends on brightness settings, ventilation and daily running hours; DIGIX provides after-sales support from Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad.
How much does a P2.5 SMD screen cost in Pakistan?
The price depends on size, build (modules or cabinets), LED grade, control system, structure and installation. Use the DIGIX SMD screen price calculator for a tentative figure for your wall, then ask our team for an itemised quotation.
